One Wild Week of Tornadoes

After a stretch of nearly 350 tornadoes and more than 3,000 severe storm reports, the worst is over.

The last six days won’t soon be forgotten for people living in parts of the lower 48; they couldn’t if they tried.

Scars from tornadoes have marked both the ground and history books.

Severe weather began in earnest on Saturday, but this was just a taste of things to come, with 22 reports of tornadoes, mostly in Kansas.

By Sunday, severe weather stretched eastward. A sliver of tornadic supercells spawned 69 additional tornado reports west of the Mississippi, including the violent EF-5 in Joplin, Missouri.

The system lost some punch Monday, producing 21 reported twisters with several in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

By Tuesday, another developing low in the plains garnered growing concern by meteorologists and produced another 50 tornadoes.

But the worst was saved for Wednesday. An amazing 85 tornadoes and nearly 1,000 severe storm reports, and both of those numbers along with the death and injury toll, continue climbing.

After a stretch of nearly 350 tornadoes and more than 3,000 severe storm reports, the worst is over.

Rebuilding will begin, but while this round will soon be finished, residents cross their fingers as the record-breaking spring continues.

Insurance coverage

Dent Impressions, Inc. understands that the most important part of any joint business partnership is to protect your investment. We have taken liberty of protecting your investment by being fully insured to give our partners that piece of mind. The insurance coverage that shops tend to overlook is worker’s compensation. Insurance companies have caught onto this trend and some worker’s compensation auditors are now charging the body shops for coverage on their independent contractors.
